Off-Season Specials Across Delmarva

By admin • • 2 min read

When the summer crowds thin out, Delmarva locals get a familiar pleasure back: an easy drive to dinner, a table with friends, and a reason to try somewhere new on a weeknight. Restaurants from Rehoboth to Chincoteague are rolling out specials for the quieter season. Here are a few worth putting on the calendar.

In Rehoboth Beach, Big Fish Grill began its weekly off-season lineup on September 21, with a three-course crab menu on Mondays, pasta on Tuesdays, lobster on Wednesdays, and prime rib on Thursdays. Sunday brings all-day happy hour at the bar and high tops. Starting October 1, The Federal adds its own reasons to head downtown, including a $40 three-course Wednesday dinner and a rotating $19.99 barbecue special on Thursdays.

Around Bethany Beach, the Cottage Café keeps things simple: happy hour in the pub every day until 6 p.m. It’s an easy option for an after-work meetup or an early dinner, with Tuesday trivia if the group wants to stay longer.

Across the Maryland line, Waterman’s Seafood in Ocean City started its off-season specials September 27. Tuesday lobster night lists a one-pound whole lobster with two sides for $30; Wednesday offers a pound of steamed shrimp with two sides for $20. Its specials are for dine-in guests and cannot be combined with other discounts.

If your travels take you farther south, Ropewalk Chincoteague lists weekday bar happy hour from 2 to 6 p.m., with half-price wings and calamari, $6 crushes, and oysters at $1 each. For locals planning a longer island break, Chincoteague Bay RV Resort & Cottages is advertising standard back-in RV sites from $39 on weekdays and $49 on weekends for eligible stays October 1 through November 29 with code FALL26.

That’s the pleasure of the off-season: a midweek seafood dinner can feel like an occasion, and a short trip down the coast can feel like a getaway. Specials, hours, and availability can change, so check each linked business before you head out—and enjoy having a little more room to linger.
